WILLIAM (BILL) MOSKALUIK On Thursday, January 6, 2000, after spending Ukrainian Christmas Eve with his family, Bill Moskaluik, aged 78 years, of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bill was born in Sapohiv, Ukraine, January 1, 1922. He came to Canada with his parents and sister in 1926. He volunteered for the Canadian Army and served overseas from 1944 to 1946 where he was discharged as a Corporal. He married Marie Petrash in 1946, and together they started their life in Winnipeg. They had two children, Allan and Christina. They moved to Vita where they spent most of their lives, but the last five years were spent in Winnipeg. Bill was a very family-oriented man with a unique gift of patience, humour, understanding and love. Bill loved fellowship in his home where no one left hungry or unhappy. He loved nature, farming, gardening and working with wood. Bill leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Marie of 53 years; his beloved son Allan (Val) and beloved daughter Christina (Orest) Storozuk. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Connie (Garry) Seidler, Tanya Storozuk, Les (Leah) Moskaluik and Lorrie (Lee) Woodhouse and his stepgrandchildren, Chasity, Dawn, Cheryl, Valarie, Emma and Freddie and beloved great-grandchild Kyla Marie Woodhouse. He also leaves his beloved sister Anne (Bill) Huley and his beloved brother Harry Moskaluik and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Prayers will be said on Monday, January 10 at 8:00 p.m. in the St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St., Winnipeg, Man. with Rev. Deacon M. Krochak officiating. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 11 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Ascension Ukrainian Catholic Church in Sundown, Man. with father Ihor Royik officiating. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8.
