MARVEN JENS PEDERSEN Peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, after a lengthy illness. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Eva; five sons and their families, James (Vickie), Arlene and Martin Krawitz and one son Robert, Myron and Julie; Lennard (Ann) Sonja and Carl; David (Eileen) David and Laural, Rachel and Erin; Blaine (Dianne) Janice, Warren and Lyall; and Carl (Lana), Douglas. He also leaves to mourn a sister Hanna Pritchard and dear cousin Edith, as well as sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Marven was born April 6, 1918 and lived most of his life in the Elm Creek district, where he farmed for many years, moving to Winnipeg in 1987. While in Elm Creek he was active in community affairs and was proud to be a member of the Masonic Fraternity. He was also proud of his Norwegian Heritage. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Scandinavian Centre Inc., 764 Erin Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3G 2W4 or to a charity of your choice. A private funeral service will be held at Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman, Manitoba on Friday, January 14, at 11:00 a.m. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements.
