STAN MICHAEL TRONIAK October 1, 1921 - January 10, 2000 Its our deepest sorrow to announce the passing of our father Stan Troniak. Stan passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre. He was predeceased by his father Michael; first wife Adeline on June 16, 1972 and his oldest daughter Linda Toews on October 16, 1976; his brother John and his sister Mary. He leaves to mourn his second wife Elizabeth; daughters, Patricia Clark and son-in-law Walter, Gloria Johnson and son-in-law Brian, Valerie Troniak and Gail Troniak, all of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Michael Weibe, Curtis and Bradly Toews, Stanley Clark, Kevin, Amanda and June Johnson, Robert and Steven Troniak, and his three great-grandchildren. Stan was born on October 1, 1921 in Winnipeg. Up to the age of 13 he resided in Foley, MB and then returned to Winnipeg. He served in the Second World War and came back and married Adeline on June 1, 1946 at Robertson Memorial United Church. On January 23, 1951 he became employed with C.N.R. as an electrician and remained with C.N.R. until his retirement October 31, 1986. He married Elizabeth on August 17, 1974 in Robertson Memorial United Church and was a member until 1997. Stan was a member of the Ukrainian Veterans Legion No. 141. He helped to raise money for the Mentally Challenged by running in the Manitoba Marathon from the age of 53 to 70. Prayers will be said on Thursday (tonight), January 13 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Ave. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 14 at 11:30 a.m. also at Cropo Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Cebrowski, Alison Sparks, Harry Duakew, Jeff Mathieson, Ted Truszynski and Kevin Shomluk. A special thank you to all the staff at Central Park Lodge and Health Sciences Centre. Donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Manitoba Division, 102 - 310 Broadway R3C 0S6. Floral arrangements can be sent to Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Stan you will be sadly missed by all your family and friends. We love you.
