Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) PANKEWICH Peacefully, on January 11, 2000, at the Pinawa Hospital, Bill passed away with his wife, Lorraine by his side. He was predeceased by his parents; brother Eugene; sister Olga and brother-in-law Wally Stober. ("His Buddy") He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, Lorraine (nee Myslinski) his sisters-in-law Molly (Mike) Smerchynski of Winnipeg; Man.; Verna Stober of Pinawa, Man; Francis Pankewich of Toronto, Ont. and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Poland and came to Canada at the age of three. He settled in Fisher Branch, and later moved to Winnipeg. He was employed by Canada Packers for 28 years, retiring to Hadashville, Man. in 1987. At Bills request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E. Beausejour, Man. with Rev. William Woodbeck officiating. Interment will take place following the service at the St. John Baptist Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in Hadashville, Man. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, Man. or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Man. Special thanks to his home care nurse Linda Sansom; Drs. Spence, Petkau and nursing staff at the Pinawa Hospital.
