DAVID GEORGE CUMMING Sadly we announce the passing of our father David George Cumming who died on January 9, 2000 at Abbotsford, B.C. David was born at Springside, Sask. on May 2, 1923. At an early age he moved to Winnipeg and worked for the Breweries and later Manitoba Liquor Control Commission. He was predeceased by his wife Edith in 1994 and by six brothers and two sisters. Dave is survived by his two children, Donna-Jean (Doug) Brown, Glen Cumming; two step-children, Richard (Helen) Nelson, Geraldine Nelson. Ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive him. He is survived as well by four sisters, Dorothy McMillan of Langley, B.C., Sheila Moore of Chilliwack, B.C., Jean Washenfelder of Saskatoon, Sask., Georgina Beatty of Watrous, Sask., and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service for Dave was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13 in The Chapel of Hendersons Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Rd., with Rev. Don Lindsay officiating. Interment to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Surrey, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
