ROCCO DI BIASE Peacefully on January 14, 2000, Rocco passed away at St. Josephs Residence at the age of 90 years old. Rocco was predeceased by wife Pasqualina; brother, Donato; two sisters, Lucia and Angelina; daughter, Assunta Maria Martino; sons-in-law, Guiseppe Santarsieri and Orlando Gioiosa; granddaughter, Rosanna Gioiosa and grandson, Marco Santarsieri. Rocco will be loved and cherished by his children, Michael (Maria) Di Biase, Tony (Maria) Di Biase, Anna Gioiosa in Italy, Rosenella Santarsieri in Italy and Ida (John) Ciccarelli in Italy. Rocco will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rocco was born June 5, 1909 in Ripacandida, Potenza, Italy and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1965. Rocco was always able to provide laughter and joy to his family through his expressive mannerism. Roccos presence in family gatherings never allowed for a dull moment as he was always will to share stories of his adventurous life. He enjoyed entertaining friends and family by sharing a song or doing a dance. Rocco cared deeply about his family and was always there to provide support and guidance. Although Roccos health was fading, we will always remember him as a vibrant and generous individual. The family wishes to thank Dr. Cheung and the staff of Unit 2 at St. Josephs Residence for the outstanding care and attention provided to Rocco. Prayers will be held on Sunday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 17 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Eternal Memories, 1501 Waverley Street.
