JAMES PETER HALL On January 14, 2000, at the Concordia Hospital, with family at his side, James (Jimmy) Hall passed away in his 88th year. James leaves behind his beloved family, wife Lea (Lapointe), son David (Shirley) Hall, daughters Betty (Roland) Chartrand and Carroll (Martin Robak) Thickson, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by his parents David and Alexandrina (Bibeau) Hall., brothers Phillip and John and sisters Annie, Yvonne and Laura. Dad was a tireless worker who lost his own father at a young age and had to go to work to help support the family.At various times in his long career, he worked for Modern Dairies, as a house builder, butcher, and owned and operated grocery stores in Winnipeg as well as the Lakeview Hotel in St. Laurent, Manitoba. He was active until the end doing his best to help his fellow residents at the Seniors block where he spent most of his retirement years at 404 Desalaberry Ave. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, January 18 at 1:30 p.m. in the P.
