Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOMENICO DI RADO It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Domenico Di Rado, on January 16, 2000 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. Domenico passed away after a short illness at the age of 92 years. Domenico was born in Santa Maria Imbaro, Italy. He immigrated to Winnipeg in 1952 to join his sister Nicoletta Di Lallo. Shortly after arriving he was employed by Greb Shoes Ltd., where he worked until he retired. He is survived by his wife Maria of Winnipeg, and will be missed by his children, son Alberto De Rado (Ruth), daughter Rosaria Melizza (Domenico), of Victoria B.C. daughter Santa Maria Melizza, son Andrew Di Rado (Rosa), daughter-in-law Maria Di Rado of Italy and many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Domenico was predeceased by his sister Nicolletta Di Lallo, Giovannie "John" Di Lallo, sons Nicola Di Rado, Mario Di Rado, Tomasso "Tom" Di Rado, son-in-law Nicola Melizza and nephew Tony Di Lallo. Prayer Vigil will be held on Wednesday, January 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 20 at 12:00 p.m. also in the church with Reverend Father Sam Argenziano presiding. Pallbearers will be Alberto De Rado jr., Fernando Melizza, Sandra Di Rado, Jose Raposo, Salvatore Melizza,and Carmine Melizza. Entombment will follow at the Assumption Chapel Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Avenue. "Sho Sho", you will remain forever in our hearts. May God grant you eternal peace. P. COUTU & CO. A tough but gentle man. He found pleasure in the "simple" things such as: gardening, wine making (a pro!!), & family. He always talked about presenting yourself as an upstanding person & "doing the right thing". I learnt alot from him. I was so lucky to have him as a Grandfather.
