GEORGE ROUGEAU At his home in Trevor, Wisconsin, George passed away January 12, 2000 in his 82nd year. Born in Otterburne, MB. to Anselme and Louisa. The family moved to Transcona when George was very young. He worked for the C.N.R. until he joined the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He moved to the U.S.A. after the war and worked in the welding trade. He was a devoted member of the Wilmot Methodist Church, Past Master of Wilmot Masonic Lodge and the Tripoli Temple Shrine in Milwaukee. He rode in parades with the mini bike group until he became one of 36 riders on the long bike. Predeceased by his wife Mae, parents, brothers Romeo, Eddy and Babe. Survived by sisters Juliette Baggley and Beatrice Wery; sisters-in-law Edith, Helen and Kae; many nieces and nephews. He loved to be of service to others such as driving children to and from the Shriners Hospital in Chicago for their treatments, cooking pork chop dinners on his homemade grill for charity fund raising events, ringing bells for the Salvation Army during their Christmas Cheer Drive for funds. Brother, uncle and friend, you will be missed.
