EDWARD RUFF Peacefully, on Monday, January 17, 2000, surrounded by his family, Edward Ruff, passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 69 years. He is survived by Ruth, his loving wife of 45 years. Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Cathy (Michael) Sterdan of Winnipeg and Lori Rahn of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Julie (Eddie) Popke, Tracy, Janice and Kristin. He is also survived by his mother Molly, sister Joyce Sterkell, brother Gordon (Gail) Ruff, brother-in-law Henry Weizel and numerous nieces and nephews. Edward was employed at Paulin Chambers until 1969 and then at Luther Home until retiring in 1995. He was a very active and lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church. Edward was actively involved with Scouts Canada most of his life. He was also active in the Canadian German Society and Bowling League. Edward was a selfless individual who always put others first. He gave his time and talents freely to the many associates and friends in his life. The family wishes to thank family and friends for their many prayers and the staff on the fifth floor Unit 3 at Seven Oaks Hospital for the kind and compassionate care given to Edward. You are all loved very much. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 20 at Christ Lutheran Church, 815 Inkster Blvd. at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Engel officiating.
