Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNETTE MAY BAXTER Peacefully, after a short illness on Sunday, January 16, 2000 at the Victoria General Hospital, Jeannette Baxter passed away at the age of 77 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Duncan (married 54 years) son Mel (Yvonne) grandson Ian (all of Morris, Mb.) granddaughter Heather of Wpg., and sister Rita Hague of Montreal, Que. Mom was born in Smith Falls, Ont. on May 9, 1922. The family soon moved to Montreal, Que. where Mom spent her adolescent years. She was married on February 1, 1946. Mom spent her working career as a sales clerk at Eatons, Holmans and K-mart dept. stores across Canada. She travelled with Dad to many Canadian Forces Bases, ending at Trenton Ont. They retired to Winnipeg in 1976 and spent many winters travelling, especially to Hawaii their favourite spot. Mom was a past member of the Fort Garry Legion and Womens Auxiliary. We would like to express our thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Victoria General Hospital for their care and concern. In lieu of flowers, friends can make donations to the Victoria General Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation 301-352 Donald St., Wpg. Mb. R3B 2H8. A private family service will be held.
