JESSIE YANICK Jessie Yanick of Shoal Lake and formerly of Oakburn passed away on Friday, January 14, 2000, at the Morley House of Shoal Lake, at the age of 98 years. Jessie was predeceased by her husband Stanley in 1969 and son, Wilson in 1983. Remembering her lovingly are sons, Nick (Elaine) and Ron (Louise) and daughters, Marie, Josephine, Gertrude (John), Nel, Helen and Susan (Geoff) 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Jessie is also remembered by her two sisters, Mary Borodie and Nel Choptiuk. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 22, at 10:00 a.m. from the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Oakburn, with interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Oakburn Municipal Hall. Prayers will be said from Raes Funeral Chapel, Shoal Lake, Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Rev. George Malik will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Morley House Chapel Fund, Shoal Lake, Manitoba R0J 1Z0. Raes Funeral Service of Shoal Lake are in care of the arrangements.
