ANNE KOLENICH (nee KRUPA) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Kolenich on January 17, 2000 at the Concordia Hospital. Anne was born on July 3, 1924 and was raised in Lake Audy. She then moved to Winnipeg at the age of 20. Anne married July 20, 1944 to her husband Michael Kolenich, and were blessed with their only child, daughter Jerene. Anne was a member of St. Annes Ukrainian Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and filled her home with the warmth of cooking and baking. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Very Rev. Michael Kolenich; her father Michael Krupa; mother Mary Krupa and four brothers, Michael, Bill, John and Dennis. Anne was also predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Tom Kimpinski, and Bill Nowosad. Anne leaves to mourn her daughter Jerene; three sisters, Jessie Kimpinski, Carol Nowosad, Jean Krupa; brother Adam, wife Pat; sister-in-law Olga Krupa, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. If friends so desire, donations in Annes memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. Prayers will be sung on Friday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, January 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Annes Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Avenue with Rt. Rev. Canon Walter Klimchuk officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Antoniuk, Len Mariash, Steve Halabura, Mike Kuzminski, Dean Krupa and Ernie Genick. Gone into that light that shines so fair; Gone from the earth of sorrow and care. Resting those hands that did their best, Gone, dear Mother, gone to rest.
