EDA PAULINE TRAPP (nee PATZER) Eda Trapp died peacefully at St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon, Sask. on Monday, January 17, 2000 after a brief unexpected illness. Eda will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Clara and son-in-law Bruno Zirk and children, Curtis and Devin of Saskatoon and Lori of Peterborough, Ont.; and daughter Winnie and son-in-law Gerald Schlyter of Kelowna, B.C. and children, Glen, Karen Eidt and husband Mathew of Calgary, Alta.; sisters, Lena Kurbis, Eliza Loeb and Helen Beck (Ernest) brothers, Dan (Herta) and Herman (Elsie) sisters-in-law, Hilda Patzer and Liz Patzer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Eda was predeceased by her husband Paul Trapp (1982) and infant son Wesley; and her father Theodore (1956) and mother Rosalie (1989) brothers Leonard (1956) and Harold (1997) sister Anne Bauschke (1972) and nephew Wilfred Beck (1972). Eda was born on June 6, 1913 in Thalberg, Man. She and her husband owned and operated a general store and post office in Lydiatt, Man. and a general store in Beausejour, Man. Eda spent ten years working at the Health Sciences Centre in the Dietary Department in Winnipeg, Man. Eda spent the last 12 years of her life in Saskatoon. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Beausejour, Man., with Pastor Michael Cone officiating. Friends and family may pay their respects an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Town of Beausejour Cemetery.
