Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD CHARLES (TED) HARVEY Suddenly on Sunday, January 16, 2000 at St. Boniface Hospital, Mr. Ted Harvey, beloved husband of Betty Harvey (nee Unwin), passed away at the age of 66 years. Ted was born in Stony Mountain, Man. on May 2, 1933 and moved to Winnipeg in 1959. He was employed with the Manitoba Telephone System for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He loved sports, especially curling and hockey which he played as a young man. Ted enjoyed travelling, and he and Betty got to visit many countries. They also spent a lot of time at their cottage in Spruce Sands, which Ted built in 1965. He had many talents and could just about fix anything, but his greatest pleasure was watching his grandchildren grow and being involved in their lives. Ted was past master of Stony Mountain Masonic Lodge No. 134, a member of Khartum Temple of the Shrine, and Past President of the Shrine Oriental Band. He was past Associate Grand Guardian of Manitoba of the International Order of Jobs Daughters. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Betty of 40 years; daughters, Kathy Blackwell, Susan Snider; son-in-law Paul Snider; grandchildren, Joe Meissner, Mark and Melissa Snider; his sisters, Pat (Jack) Duncan, Alice (Jerry) Zaste; his brother Jerry (Kay) Harvey, as well as many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Regents Park United Church on Saturday, January 22 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Butcher officiating.
