JACOB (JACK) NICHOLAS FEDORUK Jack passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital on Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at the age of 91 years. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Marjorie and husband Peter Kuryk of Winnipeg; son Robert Fedoruk of Winnipeg, James and wife Diane of Miami, Florida; grandchildren, Chris of Montreal, Carrie (Brian), Susan (Jeff), Richard, Shelley (Kent) and Jamie; also left are six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by father Alexander in 1968; son Edward in 1973; mother Mary in 1977; wife Mary in 1991 and sister Anne in 1999. Jack was born on December 17, 1908 in Winnipeg and moved with his parents to Fraserwood and then Belmont to farm. As a young man he was an amateur boxer under the name of Jack Baker. He was a trucker by trade driving through rural Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He then worked for Railway Express Agency retiring to become self-employed and worked until the age of 80 years. The family would like to thank Home Care workers, Theresa, Evelyn, Helena and Diane for their support in helping maintain his independence.
