JEAN ADLEMAN After a lengthy illness, Jean passed away peacefully on January 18, 2000 with family at her side. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Maurice, her children, Barrie and wife Bellarri, Sladen and wife Susan and Neil and wife Maureen, her grandchildren, Robin, Jay, Daniel, Deborah, Brent, Jenna and Alanna. Jean is also survived by her sisters, Renee Yaren and Eleanor Bercov and brother Harvey Rayman. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Benjamen and Manya Rayman, her father and mother-in-law Isaac and Edith Adleman. She was also predeceased by her siblings Ben Rayman, Sylvia Pollock, Joey Raymond and Allan Rayman. Jean was totally devoted to her family which was the focal point of her life, while also having a very strong commitment to a number of causes and charities. She will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her. Funeral services were held at Shaarey Zedek Synagogue and the pallbearers were Jay Adleman, Daniel Adleman, Brent Adleman, Alvin Yaren, Stanley Yaren and Harvey Diamond. The family would like to thank Claudia and the other nursing staff on the 5th Floor at the Sharon Home as well as Jeans companion Procela Arceo for their loving care. Shiva is being observed at 503 - 180 Tuxedo Blvd. If so desired, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
