Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY KELLER On Sunday, January 10, 2000 at the Lion Prairie Manor in Portage la Prairie, Mary Keller passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years. Mary was born to Conrad and Anna Maria Kirsch on March 9, 1912. At an early age she showed a natural talent for sewing and handiwork, often creating her own patterns and designs. Her creativity spilled into every facet of her life. In later years she enjoyed her work as a fitter for the T. Eaton Co. Mary was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she met and married Fred Keller. They raised three children. Mary a quiet leader and a wise teacher, was a loving mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister and sister-in-law. She was always there for the extended family and many others in the community. With her husband Mary enjoyed gardening, decorating and creating special gifts for her family. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, brothers Conrad, John, Jack, and sister Molly. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Dolores and Barry Elgert of Portage la Prairie, Marlene and Olie Johnson of Vancouver, and son Don and Vera Keller of Edmonton; sisters Millie Rendall of Vancouver, Frieda Krentz of Winnipeg and Anne Engel of Steinbach; ten grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, also many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 20, at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 815 Inkster Blvd. Should friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Lions Manor or charity of choice.
