Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE F. REIMER August 9, 1924 - January 19, 2000 Marie Reimer died peacefully on January 19, 2000, after a bout with very persistent cancer, having reached the age of 75 years, 5 months and 10 days. Marie was predeceased by her father in 1948 and her mother in 1967. She was also predeceased by eight brothers and five sisters and leaves to mourn one sister Frieda, with whom she has shared a home all her life. She will also be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Marie was baptized by Rev. H.P. Fast and joined the EMB (now Cornerstone Bible) church in 1940, where she has been a cheerful and very hard working member. She was a very faithful and persistent prayer warrior, we know she loved her Lord and her upbeat attitude during her sickness reflected this. Her singing has been heard in the church on many occasions over the decades. Marie started working in the post office after high school and worked there for 38 years. She identified most people in town by their box number knowing that box 738 was the son of box 241. Marie was active on the executive of the Southeast Manitoba Festival. During her 20 years of retirement she enjoyed meeting and talking to all her friends in the town she spent her whole life in. Marie will be sadly missed by many hundreds of friends. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Bible Church, 290 1st St. Steinbach, MB with Pastor Bob Vogt officiating. Interment followed in the Steinbach Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 21 between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. at Loewen Fuenral Chapel in Steinbach and at the church prior to the service. Donations in her memory may be made to Southeastern Manitoba Festival. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach, 204-326-1351.
