KATHIE ISAAK Our sister, Kathie passed away peacefully to her eternal rest in the presence of her sisters and brothers on January 20, 2000 at Bethania Personal Care Home, at the age of 69 years. She is survived by brothers, George (Arlene), Harry (Marge), David, Peter (Germaine), Rudy (Gail) sisters, Mary Heidebrecht, Helen (Ernie) Wilms; 21 nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. Kathie was born in 1930 in Winnipeg to Gerhard and Maria Isaak. She enjoyed a happy childhood. After graduation from MBCI she entered Teachers Training, her first teachers position being at Rosewood, Man. Later she took courses at the University of Manitoba to get her B.A. She loved to travel and visited many countries during her lifetime including trips to Europe with Helen Litzs childrens choir. She retired early to take care of her mother. After her mothers death she continued living in the family home until she became ill. She was a member of the Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church from 1947 until her death. She was predeceased by her father Gerhard; mother Maria and brother John. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Bethania. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Pastor Gerhard Friesen officiating.
