MARTHA JANET BESTLAND Martha Janet Bestland, aged 90 years, passed away at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris on Wednesday, January 19, 2000. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Elmer in 1987, and her son Sinclair in 1999. Left to mourn her passing are her six sons, four daughters and their families; Milo of Winnipeg, Harlan and wife Sharon of Brunkild, Cordell and wife Beverly, Raymond and wife Barbara, David and wife Cindy, all of Winnipeg, Markus of Red Lake, Ont., Corliss and husband Jerry Rosenberg of Detroit, Mi., Fay and husband Mark Rubenstein of Dallas, TX., Beverly and husband John Bossuyt of Coaldale, Alta., and Myrna and husband Murray Thompson of Winnipeg. The family wishes to express our gratitude to the staff of the Red River Valley lodge for their excellent and compassionate care of our mother. If friends so desire, donations in Marthas memory may be made to the Lodge, Box 507, Morris, MB, R0G 1K0. The funeral service will be held at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brunkild on Saturday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m. with interment in the Brunkild Cemetery.
