MATILDA MARIE (TILLIE) DUECK nee GIESBRECHT Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 18, 2000, with her family by her side, Tillie passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 61 years. She is survived by her husband Henry; children, Wilbert (Darlene), Wesley (Tanya) and Rosella Jowsey; grandchildren, Kimberly, Steven, Michael and Jaxon. Tillie was predeceased by her parents, H.W.F. and Anna Giesbrecht and two brothers, Bill and Harry. Tillie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her for her kind, gentle and caring manner. A supportive person, you could always depend on her to listen. She was a very talented person and over the years produced many crafts with her handwork skills. Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 23 at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at the Willowlake Baptist Church, 45 Willowlake Crescent on Monday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A special thank you to all the staff of the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for the care and compassion shown to Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tillies memory to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 9Z9.
