RAYMOND JOSEPH DION On Wednesday, January 19, 2000 at St. Josephs Residence, our beloved father and grandfather passed away suddenly and peacefully in his sleep. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Doreen and Ken Osinski of Winnipeg, Brian and Irene of Fisher Branch, David and Leanne of Stonewall; grandchildren, Kendra (David) Moore, Trevor Osinski, Jason (Emily) Dion, Kevin Dion, Tamara (Aaron) Labarre, Lance and Russel Dion; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Shelby Moore, Pierce and Faith Labarre; sisters, Jean (Al) Findley of Sidney, B.C., Rose (Herb) Vandersteen of Panoka, Alta.; brothers, Romeo (Florence), William (Lucille) of Winnipeg, Eugene (Eva) of Sioux Narrows, Ont.; sisters-in-law, Rose Andrews and her family of Detroit, MI; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, August 19, 1999; his parents, Wilfred and Lucie Dion; brothers, Leo and Adelard "Ed". Dad was born in Fisher Branch, Man. and lived there all his life except for the last five years where he was a resident at St. Josephs. He operated a general store and Minneapolis Moline Farm Implements business, 1941-1967. He then drove a school bus until his retirement. He was a driving force behind the building of the Fisher Personal Care Home, member of the Knights of Columbus, Chamber of Commerce and served on many other committees, along with doing volunteer work in the community he loved so much. The family extends our heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Josephs Residence for their excellent care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Friday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Josephs Residence, 1149 Leila Ave. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 22 at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Father Dave Kowalski officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. "Dad, we love you and miss you. You had a great sense of humour, loved to play cards with us, gave us guidance and love. Our hearts will forever be filled with everlasting love for you. Rest in peace Dad, you are now with Mom" "Together Forever" Flowers gratefully declined.
