ASTA (AIDA) HERDIS FREDRIKA HART Asta (Aida) Herdis Fredrika Hart nee Hermanson, at Tuxedo Villa, January 19, 2000 at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by her husband Clifford, she is survived by her children, Dr. Monty and Patty Hart, Phoenix, Arizona, Sandra and David Scarth, Brentwood Bay, B.C., Linda and Don Holman, Toronto, Ont., and Peter Hart, Vancouver, B.C.; sisters, Rosa Vernon, Toronto and Wilda Seabrook, Winnipeg; niece May Medd; grandchildren, Chris, David and Michael Hart, Karin, Fredrika, Noreen and Roger Scarth, Brett, Lindsay and Jason Holman, Kristin Turcotte, Lisa, Greg and Dash Hart, and 11 great-grandchildren. A warm, loving mother and grandmother, she had a delightful sense of humour and a quiet strength. One of the gifts to her children was a deep sense of pride in their Icelandic heritage, plus a love of music and reading. She taught the violin and was a member of church choirs and musical groups in rural Manitoba and Northern Ontario. She was always there for her family. She is missed. The family wishes to thank Eslin Jones for her dedication and compassionate care over the past decade. A memorial service will be held in early August, 2000. Family and friends will be notified of the time and place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society or the charity of your choice.
