MIKE McPHILLIPS Mike McPhillips, age 45, suddenly passed away, at home, on January 19, 2000. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Pat; and his two sons, Kevin, 16, and Ian, 13, of whom he was extremely proud. He will be missed by loving in-laws, Trudy and Jack Kosten; and brother-in-law Kerry. Mike is survived by his mother Fay; his brother Pat; sister Shawn and her two sons, Murray, and Ryan. Mikes greatest passion in life was everything related to aviation. He worked in many different aviation occupations, as well as flying privately for recreation. Mike spent the last four years of his life dedicated to his own locksmithing business, making many valued business acquaintances and friends. He was a caring neighbor, and always willing to lend a hand. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Mikes life on Tuesday, January 25 at 2:00 p.m. at P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. We wish to thank all our friends and neighbours for their incredible outpouring of support. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up for the children at the Cambrian Credit Union. P. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 156 Marion Street 949-4964

On January 19th we will remember our friend Mike for the very special and creative person he was. It is still a shock that we have lost him after now 20 years. He was one of the most intelligent and skilled people who has ever been part of my life. We started our friendship in the fall of our grade 4 school year when he and his family moved to St Vital and he joined the grade 4 class at Windsor School. With limitless ability in so many domains especially carpentry and of course aviation which was always his true love. I miss you my friend-there was so much more I needed you to teach me and I remain saddened that you are gone way too soon. Love you buddy - Posted by: Bob barry (Friend) on: Jan 04, 2021
