FLORENCE WINNIFRED (WINNIE) de WET (nee BRYANT) January 20, 1912 - January 19, 2000 Peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2000, with family at her side, Winnie passed away at 100 Mile House Hospital, BC. Born in Quebec City, Quebec she soon moved to Winnipeg. On June 29, 1935 she married Len de Wet and settled in Fort Garry where she lived until she moved to BC in 1994. Winnie was predeceased by her husband Len in 1970. She is survived by her children, Arlene (John) Springett of BC and son Bryan (Carole) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Harlan, Cathy, Jeff and Ann of BC, Jennifer and Jason of Winnipeg and numerous great-grandchildren, sister-in-law May de Wet and cousin Betty de Wet. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held by her Christian Fellowship for her many family members, care givers and friends in British Columbia. Winnie will return to Winnipeg to be laid to rest beside her husband in Garry Memorial Park at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to 100 Mile Funeral Service Ltd., 100 Mile House, BC.
