Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES LEO KEOUGH Mr. James Keough passed away peacefully in Winnipeg on January 21, 2000. He was predeceased by his wife Irma Elizabeth Deprez in January 1992. Jim is survived by his children, Leona Lone, Vancouver, Paul (Evangaline), Calgary, Lucille (Allan Deegan), Toronto, Linda (John Kliewer), Winnipeg and Cheryl (Robert Doig), Winnipeg. He leaves sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Jim was born July 23, 1910 at Martin Keough and Lucille Murphy. He was third of seven children. Jim came to Winnipeg as a young man and was employed at Crescent Creamery. Jim and Irma were married September 16, 1931 at St. Anns Church in St. James where they were parishioners for over sixty years. During the early years of the Second World War, Jim earned his first class engineers certificate while employed at St. Edwards Church. He was then employed in munitions manufacture until the end of the War. Jim and Irma owned three grocery stores in St. James. After retiring from business, they managed Kiltarten Towers for twenty years. The family expresses gratitude to the staff of the Charleswood Care Centre where Jim resided for the past three years. Prayers will be said Monday, January 24, at 7:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Parish, 320 St. Charles St. with a reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations are kindly accepted at Alzheimer Society, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2 or Winnipeg Harvest, 1085 Winnipeg Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
