Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE BARRON Peacefully, on Saturday, January 22, 2000, Katherine Barron of Portage la Prairie, passed away at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 85 years. Katherine is predeceased by her husbands, Paul Joseph Slaby and Adrian Barron; and her brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Rudy Slaby of Portage, Harold Slaby of Traverse Bay, Manitoba and Edward Slaby of Brampton, Ontario; grandchildren, Harold, Heather and Allison all of Winnipeg; great-grandchildren, Nigel and Noland of Winnipeg; god child Elizabeth (Dean) Krumes of Calgary; sister-in-law Maria Berg of Leamington, Ontario; nephews, Corney and Peter Berg and niece Mary Doerksen all of Leamington, Ontario. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, Winnipeg, Manitoba with Rev. Barry McGhie officaiting. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in remembrance of Katherine, to a charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Katherine at Evergreen Memorial Gardens by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are entrusted with the arrangements.
