Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYROSLAW W. (WALTER) DIDIUK June 17, 1925 - January 21, 2000 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing at home of Myroslaw (Walter) Didiuk at age 74, on January 21, 2000. Remaining to forever cherish Walters memory is his beloved wife of fifty three years, Beatrice (nee Royal) their three sons, Randall (Joanie), Andrew (Betsy) and Ivan (Judy) and their three grandchildren, Matthew, Mark and Luke. Walter was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Tekla and his brothers, Michael and Vladimir. Walter was born on June 17, 1925 in Winnipeg. After a being raised in the north end of Winnipeg, Walter began his adventures in 1944 with the Federal Department of Transport as a radio operator. He was stationed in Snag, Yukon and Fort St. John, British Columbia where he met his beloved wife Beatrice. After a marriage in Fort St. John, they were stationed in Beatton River, Fort Nelson and small, isolated outposts and various airports in northern British Columbia. By todays standards accommodations and lifestyles in that part of Canada was spartan to say the least. However, both Walter and Beatrice enjoyed their many adventures and eventually made their way back to north end Winnipeg in 1955. Walter always believed that a career with the federal public service at the Department of Transport was an honourable profession. He advanced within the department and encountered and enjoyed many challenges throughout his career. After 36 years of employment, he retired in 1980. Since that time, he cherished every moment to fulfil all his passions with his family, and considered each day to be a blessing. Walter lived his life with great dignity, integrity and compassion. For Walter, his number one priority was always his inseparable wife and his family. Saying that Walter was proud of his family is an understatement. We are all forever grateful for all the cherished memories and for sharing his life lessons with us. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 26, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral home, 4477 Main Street with viewing one half hour prior to the service. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. A private family interment will be held at All Saints Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 Main Street 338-7111
