Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES KNOPP (1918 - 2000) Born in Hanna, North Dakota. At the age of two the family moved to Winnipeg where he resided for the rest of his life. Charles passed away on January 22, with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Doris; son, Darwin (Connie) of St. Albert, Alta.; daughter, Laurie (Tim) Howells of Winnipeg; three precious grandchildren, Steven Howells, Gillian Howells and Kiel Knopp; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Martha as well as his sister, Laura. Charles served with the Manitoba Dragoons XII for 4 years overseas. He worked for the post office as a mail carrier of 27 years. Charles was a member of the North Centennial Seniors Association, St. Johns Lutheran Church, and the West Kildonan Legion #30 for 40 years. Memorial Service will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church, College and McKenzie on Tuesday, January 25, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Meschner officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made to St. Johns Memorial or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
