HELGE KROSTEWITZ It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Helge at 10:00 p.m., January 22, 2000 after a courageous battle with cancer. Helge was born in Hamburg, Germany on August 6. He immigrated to Canada at age 20. Shortly afterwards, he went to work for Winnipeg Pattern & Model Works for 39 years. Helge was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather; an excellent provider and a hero to his sons. He was respected and loved by all who knew him. He truly enjoyed life and will be dearly missed. He leaves all of us with so many happy memories that will live on forever. Remaining to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Maureen; four sons, Mark, Todd (Jacki), David (Nicole) and Jason; his three grandchildren, Taylor, Hannah and Jared; sisters, Isgard and Hildrun of Germany; mother-in-law Ivy Oakley and members of extended families. The family would like to express its gratitude to Dr. D. Inglis, Dr. Jan Mulder and Major Gordon Jarvis for his spiritual support and the compassionate Palliative Care Staff on 4W at Grace Hospital. Also many thanks to the many friends, co-workers, and neighbours for their kindness, prayers, gifts, flowers, food and numerous calls and visits. God Bless You All. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook, R3C 2B7. It breaks our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home Though your smile is gone forever And your hand we cannot touch We will never lose the memory Of one we loved so much Thanks for the loving years you gave us The happy times we shared We all pray that when you left us You knew how much we cared Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
