Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAMERICO MANIAS After a brief illness, it is with sadness that we announce the peaceful death of Americo Manias at his home on Tuesday, January 18, 2000, age 87. Americo was born on October 3, 1912 in Azzano Decimo, Pordenone, Italy. He was predeceased by his wife Marie on December 25, 1987. Surviving are brother Bruno (Elda) Manias; sister Malvina (Giovanni) Favret, all of Azzano Decimo, Pordenone, Italy; niece Giovannina Sonego and her daughter Renata Bruce of Thunder Bay, ON; nephew Ken (Marlene) Hoffner of Burlington, ON, children, Penny (Sam) Knox of Englehart, ON, their children, Shawn and Ashley, Tammy Stone and husband Galen Polowick, their children, Krista and Jenna of Winnipeg, Terry (Kim) Hoffner, their children, Veronica, Lindsay and Jason of Burlington, ON, Randy (Pauline) Hoffner and Zacharey of Brantford, ON., niece Sandra (Wayne) Barbour, children, Chris and Shannon of Matlock, MB, nephew Raymond (Rita) Hoffner, children, Jessica and Angelique of Marquette, MB. For over 50 years, Americo was associated with the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Local No. 1. He enjoyed bowling with his friends at the Deer Lodge Legion and the St. James Five Pin League for which he won many bowling trophies. Americo was a member of the Holy Rosary RC Church and also belonged to the Fogolar Association of Manitoba. A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 25 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary RC Church, 510 River Ave., with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding at the Eucharist.
