Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANET J. MANSON (nee SMITH) It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Janet J. Manson (nee Smith) on Saturday, January 22, 2000 at the age of 66 years. Formerly of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Janet moved to Edmonton in 1973 with her husband Murray and three daughters. Janet was born March 11, 1933 in Winnipeg, daughter of Frederick and Jean Smith. A long-time employee of Eatons in Winnipeg, she met and married Murray Manson in 1963. Shifting her focus to becoming a full-time wife and mother, Janet left Eatons, but maintained her Eatons friendships even after the move from Winnipeg. Janet was predeceased by her husband of 33 years in May of 1997 and by her sister Sheila (Lyle) Tisdall in 1988. Janet will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her three daughters, Katherine Manson of Vancouver, Donna (Loren) Zayaduk of Edmonton, and Cheryl (Gerald) Boutin of Rocky Mountain House; four grandchildren, Deanna and Jolene Boutin, and Tyler and Megan Zayaduk; one brother Bruce (Denise) Smith of Winnipeg and relatives and friends including her coffee companions of 26 years, Kay Bulger and Eleanor Tymchuk. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 27 at Appel Funeral Home/Central Memorial Chapel, 10530 - 116 St., Edmonton, Alta. No flowers please.
