CANDACE JANE BARON (nee THIEL) It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Candace Baron after her courageous battle with cancer on January 21, 2000 at the age of 43. Candace is survived by her husband Mark; son Krispen and daughter Crystal of Winnipeg; her Mom and Dad, Ruth and John Thiel of Winnipeg; her brother Bryan and sister-in-law Cheryl; niece Amory and nephew Ryland from Thunder Bay; in-laws, Gordon and Florine Baron of Langley, BC; brother-in-law John (Shelley) Baron; nieces, Lexie and Stephanie of Richmond, BC; and many other family and friends across Canada and the USA. Candaces spirit and courage will live on in all who were close to her. Candace was born in Dryden, ON and lived in several N.W. Ontario communities before moving to Winnipeg in 1985. She enjoyed several careers during her working years with the TD Bank, East Kildonan YM-YMCA and most recently the Academy of Learning where she could utilize her greatest gift, that of helping others become more successful in their lives. Candace was a wonderful mother, wife and best friend blessed with many talents. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29, at 1:00 p.m. from Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Rd. Interment will follow in Holy Angel Mausoleum, Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Candace to the Concordia Hospital Cancer Ward N2W, 1095 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S8.
