DAVID MEISNER It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband and father, peacefully at his home on January 23, 2000, at the age of 67 years. He fulfilled his dream in 1992 when he and his wife retired and moved to their cottage. He was very happy there; loved hunting, fishing, curling, sleding, travelling and improving their property. He loved to see his family and friends come and received great joy out of being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Sheila (nee Davidson) daughter Wanda (Guy) Normand; son Ralph and friend Katie; son Wade and friend Kelvin; his grandchildren, Dustin and Jeremy Wilde and Marlies and Matthew Meisner; his mother Amanda Nactigall; his brothers and sisters, Art, Roy, Alice, Johnny, Gordon, Clifford, Emily and Martin and their families. He was predeceased by his father Daniel, step-father Art Nactigall and sister-in-law Agnes. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Thank you to his doctors and nurses, and a special thank you to Stella. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Manitoba Cancer Research Foundation, 100 Olivia Street, Winnipeg, R3E 9Z9 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, R3B 2H8. A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor D. Abraham on Friday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Honorary pallbearers will be Orville Denhard, Harry Klapprat, Bill Gale, George Middlestead, Willie Koshelanyk, Reinhardt Schinkel, Bill Nickel and Nick Shacktay.
