EDWIN (ED) LIK Peacefully in his sleep, with his wife by his side, Edwin Lik passed away January 24, 2000 at his residence, at the age of 60. Ed will be forever missed by his wife of 40 years, Loretta; children, Teresa and Bryan; grandchildren, Anthony and Adrienne; Robert and Pamela; Karen and Rod; grandchildren, Eric and Jessica; Garett and Monica; grandson Braeden. Also left to mourn are Edwins sisters, Selma, Lina (Ed), Ingrid (Fred) and brother Walter (Gudrun) along with countless relatives and friends, thank you all for your visits, prayers and support. Eds working career which spanned a good 40 years was spent in the fashion industry where his skill and expertise in pattern making and designery was noticeably missed upon his retirement in 1997. Besides always being there for family and friends Eds favourite hobbies were fishing, camping, and their trips south and just puttering in the yard. When Eds illness confined him more to home, visits from the grandchildren, hearing about their sports and school accomplishments and just watching them brought smiles and bright eyes, and the daily visits, the wet kisses from Blaize and arrival of his grandson, January 14, 2000 brought peace to him. The family would like to extend a thank you to home care staff and the many orderlies and nurses who offered their care and comfort. At Eds request cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place in the Chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. on Thursday, January 27, at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the A.L.S. Society, N-108 North Pavilion, Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3, or a charity of ones choice. You are the wind beneath my wings. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
