WAYNE EVERETT McKAY It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Wayne McKay on Saturday, January 22, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre. Wayne is survived by his mother Ann, sisters; Leora (Joe) Purchase and Freda (Miles) Wilwand, brother Rockford (Diane), grandparents Harry and Jean Everett, and nieces Michelle and Vanessa. He was predeceased by his father Joseph McKay on December 28, 1998. Waynes early schooling was in the Brooklands area of Winnipeg. He then graduated at Sturgeon Creek High School. Next he attended RRCC and received his diploma in Business Administration. He then went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Winnipeg. Wayne then follow his interests in computers and received his certificate in Microcomputer Business Network Analyst at RRCC. He believed in life long learning and continued to upgrade his skills, finishing course certification in Novell Netware Administration, Microsoft Windows, Windows NT and many other computer courses. Wayne was studying to become certified in MCSE and A+ microcomputer courses. He worked for many employers including City of Winnipeg, Fort Nelson, BC and SHL System House Co. Wayne was an avid runner early in life, involved in many running events. He received MRAs participation award in 1979. His other interests included model rocketry, science fiction and the Internet. Donations in honor of Waynes memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook Street.
