FERNANDO AUGUSTO TEIXEIRA With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Fernando Augusto Teixeira, age 78 years, on January 24, 2000 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Fernando was born October 10, 1921 in Sao Miguel Acores, Portugal. He came to Canada with his family April 29, 1979. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Lurdes; five children, Conceicao, Gloria, Paulo, Isabel, and Madalena; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother Ernesto in Portugal and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Fernando was predeceased by his daughter Maria Freitas. Special thanks to Dr. G. Fuzeta and Dr. Marr and the staff at Riverview Health Centre for all their care, the VON Nurses, Marianna, and Mary Ashcroft for their sincere compassion. Prayers will be said on Thursday evening, January 27 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street, with Msgr. M. Comeault officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish with Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery.
