Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED GEORGE BURNETT Passed away on January 26, 2000 at the Grace Hospital after a short illness. He was 89 years old. Wilfred was a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather and will be greatly missed. Wilf was a Second World War Veteran, serving as a navigator for the famous 408th "Goose" Squadron of the RCAF based in England. He worked for the Canadian Government as a Statistician with the Unemployment Insurance Department for 33 years before retiring in 1975. Wilf was predeceased by his daughter Janet (Ramchandar) and survived by his wife of 59 years Bettie; one sister, Muriel Jennings; son George, son-in-law Rudy Ramchandar, daughter-in-law Diana Burnett and eight grandchildren, Amanda, Kerry, Matthew and Todd Burnett and Lorraine, Lorna, Kevin and Keith Ramchandar. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at the Westhaven, 3033 Portage Avenue at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 29. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Grace General Hospital, 300 Booth Drive, R3J 3M7 or the Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, R3A 1P6.
