ROBERT LOUIS KARLOWSKY Died peacefully at his residence on January 25, 2000 at the age of 74 years. Robert is sadly missed by his loving wife Elvina, daughter The Reverend Kolleen Karlowsky of Lac du Bonnet, son Leslie (Joyce) Karlowsky of Winnipeg, grandchildren Stephanie (Dan) Blanchette, Christopher (Tammy) Picklyk, Jocelyn and Kathy Karlowsky; great-grandchildren Rheannon and Shaundrea Blanchette; brothers; Gary (Barbara) of Brunkhild, and Lorne of Winnipeg, brother-in-law Herbert (Maude) Grabowski; nieces and nephews Paul (Erna) and children, Kirk (Rhonda) and children, Cara, Elizabeth and Graham, Russell (Michelle) and family, many relatives and friends. Robert was predeceased by his parents Louie and Mattie Karlowsky. Robert was born and raised and farmed at Brunkhild. He was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Brunkild. After retiring from farming he was employed in setting up farm equipment and in the funeral service industry. Robert took great pride in caring for his family, home and yard. He enjoyed people and looked forward to visits from family and friends. Robert spent enjoyable hours in his work shop and wine room. He created beautiful wood pieces on his lathe, and made many kinds of wine, both of which he graciously shared. Robert enjoyed fishing and hunting and sharing his rich sense of humour. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 29, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Brunkhild, with Pastor Jim Halmarson officiating. Fellowship and refreshments following the service. Honorary pallbearers are Stephanie Blanchette, Christopher Picklyk, Jocelyn, and Kathy Karlowsky, Don Doyle, Ralph Jackson and Jeff Wignall.
