Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALDO CONCI Peacefully on the morning of January 2, 2000, Aldo Conci, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at the age of 76. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Eliduina (Lida) children Gustavo (Elena), John (Louise), Joe (Josie), Frank (Pina) grandchildren Lida, Daniela, David, Sarah, Leigha, Adam, Tanya, Aldo and Lorisa; a brother, Joe Conci (Lisa), California; a sister, Maria Ioele (Pasquale), California; sisters-in-law Silvia and Linda; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Rosina and Gustavo Conci; brothers Emilio and Frank; and sisters Louise and Fenice, both of Italy. Dad was born in Grimaldi, Italy, on August 2, 1923 and came to Canada in 1948. A year later his soon to be bride, Eliduina, joined him in Winnipeg. They were married on September 3, 1949 and together raised four sons. He retired in 1986 from the C.N.R. Bridge and Building Department after 37 years of service. Dads greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren. He was kind and gentle, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Dad had a wonderful sense of humour and enjoyed life. "Grandpas house is where love abides, memories are made and treasures are kept." You are forever in our hearts and prayers. We love you and miss you dearly. Rest in peace. We would like to express our thanks to the staff on 5E at the St. Boniface Hospital for their kind care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, January 5, at 7:00 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 6, at 10:00 a.m., also at the church, with Father Renato Pasinato officiating. Entombment will follow at the Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Leatherdale Gardiner in charge of arrangements. 949-4860.
