ROSEMARIE PATRICIA DOREEN ISFORD (nee NEWMAN) On December 31, 1999 at the Victoria Hospital, Rosemarie Isford of Winnipeg, beloved wife of Frederick Isford, peacefully passed away. Rosemarie was born in Winnipeg on September 16, 1934, and was married May 19, 1956. She and her family moved between Manitoba and Saskatchewan, as well as within Saskatchewan itself, to follow the requirements of her husbands career. Over the years, Rosemarie filled many professional roles. She served CIBC as a loyal and trusted employee, was a schoolteacher of various grades, and enjoyed volunteer work with the Icelandic Canadian magazine, the Logberg Heimskringla, and the Jon Sigurdson chapter of the IODE. Her leisure time was divided between summers at the cottage in Gimli, reading, arts and crafts, her broad social network, and her family; no one was ever left out or ever felt ignored. Rosemarie was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Marie Newman, and her foster son, David Deslauriers. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years; her daughter Renee; and sons, Chris, and Erik; her grandchildren, Kirstin and Johann; her brother and sister, Richard (Newman) and Bernice (Edgar) and numerous friends and relations. She was a devoted, loving, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be sorely missed. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. January 8 at First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St., Winnipeg; Pastor Ingthor Isfeld officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, or a charity of your choice. A special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
