aged 69 years of LockpJAMES (JACK) ALFRED BROWN Peacefully, on January 5, 2000, Jack Brown, ort, Man., beloved husband of Vi Brown. Besides his wife, Vi, he leaves surviving three sons, Michael (Shirley) of Lockport, James (Sandra) of East Selkirk, and Eric (Meriana) of Selkirk; two daughters, Kim Jones (Ken) of East St. Paul and Alice Samuel (Roger) of Winnipeg; ten grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Tyler, Matthew, Cara, Erin, Rachel, Corey, Colton, and Julia; four sisters, Betty, Joan, Glen and Shirley (Gerald) his father-in-law Michael Solomon; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Alice and brothers, Arthur and Clifford. Dad was a talented carpenter who took a great deal of pride in his work, these values and talents he passed on to his children. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years, later in life he enjoyed being outdoors and spent much of his time birdwatching and gardening, interests which he shared with his grandchildren. Dad took great pride in his children and grandchildren. Though it was not his way to say in words, we all felt his love. Well miss you dad. A private family funeral will take place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Poppy Fund in care of Royal Canadian Legion, Prince Edward Branch #81, 300 Trent Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2K 1E7. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
