Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM GILES HORSEMAN Peacefully, on Monday, January 3, 2000, William Giles Horseman, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 85 years. William will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Florence (nee Probert) sons, Philip William (Linda) of Ajax, Ontario, William Laurence (Sheila) of Kenora, Ontario; grandchildren, Derek Horseman of Windsor, Ontario, Janet and Laura Horseman of Ajax, Ontario, and Ian Horseman of Kenora, Ontario; and sister Annie Marie Gunn of Brisbane, Australia. William was predeceased by his parents, William George and Gertrude Mary (nee Ecob) Horseman, brother Ernest John and sister Alice Brown. William was born on April 17, 1914 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. He worked in England as a Master Mechanic until 1939. He then served in the Second World War in the British Expeditionary Force in the North Africa campaign, Sicily, Italy, and the invasion of Europe. William was discharged in 1946. In 1948, he immigrated to Canada, living in Ontario and Manitoba. William loved Canada, traveling from coast to coast. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Williams memory, to The Salvation Army Memorial Fund, 500 - 55 Donald St., R3C 1L8.
