HARRY P. NEIL Peacefully, after a brief illness, Harry P. Neil passed away at the Riverview Health Centre on January 27, 2000. Harry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Doreen; his daughters, Bonnie (Peter), Carol Ann (Gil), Shelley (Vince) and grandchildren, Karen (Dan), Keith (Brandy), Paul, Teresa, Andrew, Karleigh; as well as three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Harry was born in Motherwell, Scotland on May 9, 1919. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and was employed by Burns Meats for 42 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a long time member of the Weston Legion where he enjoyed Monday afternoon pool and Saturday Bingo. Harry was a dedicated husband, father and poppa to his grandchildren that were so special to him. Special thanks to Barb Bell of the VON for her caring and help during Harrys illness, as well as the Manitoba Cancer Society. Flowers are gratefully declined for a donation in Harrys memory to the Manitoba Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, January 31 at 12 noon at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. Service will terminate at the chapel.
