Fred was a charter member of Primetimers, a gay social club for seniors. Fred loved the monarchy and was an ardent Monarchist. He served both the queen and God through his membership in the Anglican Church. He developed a personal ministry in Winnipeg by visiting the lonely and shopping for the housebound. Freds mother, Mary and father, Dr. George Wakeling predeceased him. He is survived by two brothers, Richard (Carole) and Stuart (Tricia) two cats, Tamsung and Natasha; and several friends.
