NOELLINE JUNE The 50 years resident of the South Bay Area passed away January 26, 2000 at her residence, Redondo Beach, California. She was born in 1924 in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Canada. Noelline was the daughter of Ernest and Josephine (Prendergast) Gagnon. She graduated from St. Josephs Academy in 1942 and went on to her nursing profession at St. Boniface Hospital where she received her R.N. in 1946. After taking a post-graduate course in Cooks County Hospital, Chicago, Noelline went to work for the American Red Cross, then at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles. Noelline and Bob June were married in 1953. Noelline was predeceased by her daughter Renee and granddaughter Marta. She is survived by five children, Ray (Carol) June, Marc (Sue) June, Lorraine (Doug) June Crawford, Patricia (Craig) June Wright and Paul June, also by one sister Jacqueline (Frank) Woodley; one brother Bernard (Jeanie) Gagnon, many nieces and nephews and one favourite niece, Judith Woodley. Noelline was very active in her parish of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she helped launch the first Care Program for Seniors. Pain was no stranger to Noelline but because of her deep faith and loving husband, she always rose above it. A memorial mass was held on Saturday, January 29 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Church. Among the priest attendants was Monsignor Lawrence OLeary, a family friend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Noellines memory to the American Cancer Society or to the All Life Charities, in care of Frank Dieter at St. Lawrence Church, 1900 Prospect Ave., Redondo Beach, 90277. Cremation services private.
