DAN (HAWKEYE) HAUCK January 17, 1959 - January 29, 2000 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dan. Dan was born in Calgary, Alta. and moved to Winnipeg in 1995 to start a new life with Darlene Kernot. He worked with All Span Building Systems Ltd. in Calgary, Lewis Instruments in Winnipeg and since 1997 with TransX Transportation as a linehaul driver. While on the road, Dan would faithfully call Darlene every night. He showered her with cards, gifts and every surprise imaginable. His love for her was insurmountable. His generosity was limitless and he gave the best" hugs in the world. Those who knew him could always expect a new and interesting story from his travels. Dan will be lovingly be remembered by his partner and love of his life Darlene Kernot. Those also mourning his death; Darlenes parents, John and Patricia Kernot; sisters, Brenda (Kerry) MacLennan and Joanne (Keith) Single. The Hauck family from Okatoks, Alta; Dans parents Bill and Sue; sisters, April (Alex), Amber (Peter), and brothers, Bill (Glenna), Randy, Les and Perry and numerous nieces and nephews. A service to remember Dan will be held on Thursday, February 3 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Viewing will be one half hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8. Dan you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
