DANIEL RENAULT With deep sorrow and great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Daniel Renault on January 27, 2000 at La Barriere Park, Winnipeg, MB. at the age of 23. Daniel will be greatly missed by his mother and father, Helene and Edmond; his older brother Paul and his true soulmate Elana Geller. As well, Dan will be fondly remembered by his uncles and aunts, John, Irma and Stan, Bruno and Solange, Victor, Gilles and Anne; cousins, Bruce, Gene, Tony, Amy, Karl and Paul, Dominique and Nicholas. He was predeceased by his grandparents and his cousin Eric. As a young boy Daniel was a character. His pranks and antics sometimes annoyed his brother. Having an inventive imagination, the personalities and situations he created made everyone smile and laugh. He had a creative, entrepreneurial spirit and carried out numerous enterprises which afforded him the pastimes he enjoyed. Gifted with mechanical ability, in his pre and early teens, Daniel raced and loved to repair (mostly) his own Motocross motorcycles. His passion for mountain bikes was evident by the long trail and city rides he undertook with friends and by himself. His extended trip to Saskatoon and beyond taxed his physical abilities but he was up to the task. Dan attended College Beliveau and obtained excellent marks in French Immersion. Successfully obtaining his B.A. degree at University of Manitoba and uncertain of his direction, he helped the disadvantaged by volunteering with SCOPE. He then returned to the U. of M. and was studying Computer Science at the time of his death. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 1 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street. Interment of ashes will take place at the St. Boniface Cemetery at a later date. Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Lifes longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. P. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 156 Marion Street 949-4864
