VIOLET ROBSON Violet (nee Lahey) was born in Langham, Saskatchewan on January 3, 1909. She died Saturday, January 29, 2000 at her residence in St. Anns Senior Citizens Village, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband Laurie (1988) her son William (1951) her parents Peter and Florence Lahey; two brothers, Lloyd and Clayton; and one sister Laura Klein. She is survived by one sister, Buddy Lahey and one sister-in-law, Irene Lahey; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friends Jack and Kathleen McAvoy. She is also survived by her extended family, John and Rita Manchelenko of Winnipeg and Jose and Juana Casitello. Vigil of Prayer will be held at St. Anns Senior Citizens Village Chapel, 2910 Louise Street, Saskatoon, SK on Monday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m. led by Rev. Fr. Matthew Hertz, OMI. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, Winnipeg, MB on Thursday, February 3 at 1:00 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Fr. Samuel Argenziano. Rite of Committal will take place in Assumption Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB immediately following the Funeral Liturgy. A special thank you to Dr. N. Kail and to the staff of St. Anns Senior Citizens Village for the loving care during her stay. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Anns Senior Citizens Village would be appreciated.
